After school & Weekend Programs: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday

Rosebud Art Studio is offering after-school program on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, Weekend program on Saturdays and also the Foundation Program for children 10 years and older on Wednesdays. These programs run all through the current 2026-27 school year. Our Afterschool programs run as follows:
Program Wassily Kandinsky – Monday, Program Paul Klee – Tuesday, Program Diego Rivera – Wednesday, Program Mary Cassatt –Thursday, Program Around the World in Crafts – Friday and Program Jean-Michel Basquiat – Saturday. Students can register for one or more programs. Students will explore two-dimensional and three-dimensional media using drawing, painting, printmaking and sculpture materials and tools. `Students will also work on the pottery wheel all through the year.
Crafts on Friday!
The new studio program, Program Around the World in Crafts, on Fridays introduces students to the rich and diverse world of traditional art, craft, and sculpture from cultures across Africa, Asia, the Americas, the Middle East, and Europe. Each session has a short presentation introducing the cultural context, a live demonstration by the teaching artist, and a hands-on art activity inspired by that tradition. This program nurtures global awareness, cultural appreciation, and a deep understanding of how art functions across different societies and histories. Students will discover that art is a universal human language, one that takes different forms around the world. Batik Fabric Design (Indonesia), Huichol Yarn Painting (Mexico) , Native American Beadwork, Shibori Textile Dyeing (Japan), Warli Painting (India), Persian Tile Design (Iran), Kente Cloth Weaving (Ghana), West African Adinkra Printmaking (Ghana), African Mask Making.
After-School Programs begin at 3.00 PM and concludes at 5.00/6.00 PM on a typical day. (Students will be picked up from the school by 2.30 PM . Students will have a snack break at the studio between 2.45 PM and 3.00 PM. Students will bring their own snack from home)
Students can choose to attend a 2-hour or a 3-hour class according to their preference. A one-year commitment is required and a 6 month payment plan is available. An extended payment plan, could be made available upon request. Rolling admissions are offered all through the school year. School Pickup (elementary school – walking pickup) from PS 130, PS139, PS217, PS134 and PS889 are available on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday. School pick-up service fee is $15 per day. After-school Programs start on Monday September 14, 2026 and conclude on Saturday, June 26, 2027.
Rosebud Art Studio is also offering weekend classes on Saturday for students who are eager to learn the nuances of drawing, painting, printmaking and sculpture techniques. Program Jean-Michel Basquiat will explore the artistic genius of Basquiat through various mediums.

Rosebud Art Studio is joining hands with PS889 again this school year, 2026-27! Our After school program for the students of PS 889 is on Wednesday-Program Yayoi Kusama. Students will explore two-dimensional and three-dimensional media using drawing, painting, printmaking and sculpture materials and tools.
After-School Programs begin at 3.00 PM and concludes at 6.00 PM on a typical day. (Students will assemble at the designated location by 2.30 PM. Students will have a snack break between 2.45 PM and 3.00 PM. Students will bring their own snack from home). Students can choose to attend a 2-hour or a 3-hour class according to their preference. Policy on Missed Classes
At Rosebud Art Studio, we are committed to providing an exceptional learning experience for all our students. To ensure clarity, we would like to inform students and parents about our policy regarding missed classes:
Make-Up Classes:
Students who are unable to attend their scheduled classes may take make-up sessions at our main art studio located at 777, Coney Island Avenue, #C2, Brooklyn, NY 11218. This ensures continuity in their learning and artistic development.
Non-Refundable Fees:
Please note that tuition fees for unattended classes are non-refundable. This policy allows us to maintain the quality and resources needed for all our students.
