Rosebud Art Studio is back at DTES! 

We’re excited to return for the third year of after-school art programs at the DTES campus for the 2026–27 school year! Our After school programs for the students of DTES for the 2026 – 2027 school year are on Mondays –Program Leonardo da Vinci, Tuesdays – Program Edward Hopper, Wednesdays – Program Georges Seurat and on Thursdays, Program around the World in Crafts. From monday to wednesday, our Students will explore two-dimensional and three-dimensional media using drawing, painting, printmaking and sculpture materials and tools. all these three days, all through the year, students will also work on the pottery wheel . 

The new studio program at DTES, Program Around the World in Crafts, on Thursdays, introduces students to the rich and diverse world of traditional art, craft, and sculpture from cultures across Africa, Asia, the Americas, the Middle East, and Europe. Each session has a short presentation introducing the cultural context, a live demonstration by the teaching artist, and a hands-on art activity inspired by that tradition. This program nurtures global awareness, cultural appreciation, and a deep understanding of how art functions across different societies and histories. Students will discover that art is a universal human language, one that takes different forms around the world. Batik Fabric Design (Indonesia), Huichol Yarn Painting (Mexico) , Native American Beadwork, Shibori Textile Dyeing (Japan), Warli Painting (India), Persian Tile Design (Iran), Kente Cloth Weaving (Ghana), West African Adinkra Printmaking (Ghana), African Mask Making.

After-School Programs begin at 3.45 PM and concludes at 6.00 PM on Mondays and Tuesdays. On Wednesdays, the program starts at 1.30 pm and ends at 5/6 pm. On Thursdays the program starts at 3.45 PM and concludes at 6.00 PM,

Students can choose to attend the Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday programs. Students can enroll on one or multiple after-school programs according to their preference. A one-year commitment is required for all the Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday programs. A 6 month payment plan is available for all the four programs.. An extended payment plan could be made available upon request. Rolling admissions are offered all through the school year. After-school Programs for the Monday sessions start on September 14, 2026 and conclude on June 14, 2027. After-school Programs for the Tuesday sessions start on September 15, 2026 and conclude on June 15, 2027. The after-school programs for the Wednesday sessions starts on September 16, 2026 and ends on June 16, 2027. The after-school programs for the Thursday sessions starts on September 17, 2026 and ends on June 17, 2027.
